FAMLi (Form and Analysis in Mayan Linguistics) aims to bring together native speakers of Mayan languages and researchers from around the world to share research on all aspects of Mayan languages including but not limited to phonetics/phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics/pragmatics, typology, historical linguistics, linguistic anthropology, acquisition, and psycholinguistics. FAMLi encourages participation from researchers working in any linguistic framework, and with any level of formal linguistic background, to present description and analysis of Mayan languages.
FAMLi 5 is set to take place Aug. 10-11, 2018 in Antigua, Guatemala at Cooperación Española and funded by in part by generous support from the UMD Language Science Center and Guatemala Field Station.
